FDOT Civil 3D 2015 State Kit MR1 released

Maintenance Release 1 of the FDOT Civil 3D 2015 State Kit was released 7/31.  There is now an AutoCAD only version of the FDOT Civil 3D 2015 State Kit for those users who have AutoCAD but not Civil 3D. Visit our FDOT State Kit page for the download links.

OK, so I did a google search on “What point cloud file formats are supported in AutoCAD 2016?”  Seems like a simple request which usually returns a link to the AutoCAD online help.  Not this time.  To quell your frustrations here is the answer to that burning question. The answer. 2  (.rcs and .rcp) Wait, what?  Yeah, me too.  Here is how it works.  Autodesk ReCap does all the work, supports all the file formats. ReCap spits out a .rcp file that you can use in AutoCAD as an Xref.   Below is a list of the supported file formats in Autodesk ReCap. I sorted the list in alphabetical order and adjusted the case in the remote chance an Autodesk developer wants to perform some cosmetic surgery on the drop down list in ReCap.
